The social & environmental benefits of sharing culture can be substantial. Not only do they work to build crucial societal relationships in communities by promoting reciprocity & trust; such benefits can also result in less isolation, less intolerance & less fear, while simultaneously increasing pro-social behaviour, & a cheerful sense of belonging To that end, the innovative Fatherland Transatlantic Exchange Program has been set up to enable 20 young graduates to travel from Africa to Atlanta, in the US, (and vice versa), for a period of 6 months, in the summer of 2023.
The objective behind the Fatherland’s altruistic initiative, is to support the graduates so they can teach Africa’s highly respected Culture and Values in an Atlanta Elementary Public School. The three-month instruction program will form part of the summer classes.
